My first visit with Dr Paul Worth went pretty much as expected, he seemed to have already decided before seeing me what the problem was. Why do neurologists try and work out what a spine problem is rather than sending you to a spinal specialist who would know a lot more and may be able to come up with a solution for something that has been going on for 5 long painful year's. Is it down to not wanting to admit they were wrong? I just don't understand it. If my problem was a neurological one surely the professor who I was seeing 5 years ago when it started would have gotten somewhere, but no they are just like a dog with a bone and won't let a ridiculous FND diagnosis go. So please do the right thing and send me to a specialist spinal consultant and put me out of my misery.

Dr Worth is an extremely likeable doctor who, I believe, is right in his diagnosis. He is very easy to talk to, is non-judgemental and explains everything well

Dr Worth was very pleasant and professional and took his time to listen to me. He answered any questions I had in depth. He was knowledgeable not only about his area of expertise, but also about neurodevelopmental conditions, which helped him consider the situation holistically. Despite not expecting to find anything, Dr Worth referred me for some additional testing to keep my mind at ease. He also referred me onto another service which was processed very efficiently. Finally, his assistant was resposnive and helpful.

Dr Worth was friendly and welcoming. He spoke calmly and explained my diagnosis in a simple and reassuring way. He made me feel positive about the future and appeared to care about the outcome as much as I do.

I was hoping that a previous diagnosis from a colleague of Dr Worth , might have been over-pessimistic but this was not to be the case. I trust his diagnosis, and, thanks to his explanations, I now have a better appreciation of the situation. If I did ever, in the future, experience significant healing, I will let him know.
